The
MobiService Centres project is promoted by POLIS and part funded by DG
Information Society to investigate best practice and take-up in the systems and
services offered by Mobility and/or Traffic Management and Service Centres (collectively referred to
as MobiService Centres or MSCs). This will be achieved through the investigation
of best practice methods and technologies, and the means that will enable them
to be taken up by other sites to provide greater efficiency and higher quality
mobility systems and services for their citizens. The
project partners are the Cities of Birmingham, Bristol, Frankfurt, Hanover,
Toulouse and Bologna and the region of Hampshire. They are at the forefront in the development and provision of
MSCs, but recognise that other cities and regions will have much to offer. Some
have equally advanced systems and have developed new and innovative ways of
delivering services, some can offer new services that they have demonstrated to
be good value, others will have new ideas to propose, while others will be keen
to learn. Whatever your position, whether you can demonstrate best practice or are simply keen to learn, we are keen to invite you to join our user group by filling in the On-Line form. We can then keep you informed and consult with you on progress, and you will be invited to take part in our workshops and conferences. In this way, you will be able to contribute to, and influence the development of best practice in mobility services.
